Flamina Bosco: Stone Toilet

Brief: Create bathroom amenities for an airport. Focus should be on creating a welcoming user experience for the various cultures found in transit.

Stones are one of the few objects in nature we pick up, turn in our hand and carry home in our pockets. A smooth stone carries the perception of cleanliness. When closed, the Stone toilet is perfectly smooth with only a thin seam ringing the outside. When the spring-loaded lid is pressed, it opens gently revealing the seat and bowl.
